Our sound is a pure sound almost sinusoidal :

 The frequency in Hertz and the sound velocity C in meters per second ( m/s) are related by

pulsation w = 2p f
periode T= 1/f
wave length = cT = c / f
Wave length is the distance travel by the wave during one cycle or the distance in between 2 points where the acoustic pressures are the same.

Sound level

Sound level can be written as :
L = 20 Log P/ P0
Where P0: is a reference pressure :
P0 =2 x10-5 Pa
This means sound measurments are made with "a pressure "sensor" connected to a sound meter
calibrated in db :
